Queen Isabella I 1451-1504 also called Isabella the Catholic was Queen of Castile from 1474 until her death in 1504 as well as Queen consort of Aragon from 1479 until 1504 by virtue of her marriage to King Ferdinand II of Aragon. Reigning together over a dynastically unified Spain Isabella and Ferdinand are known as the Catholic Monarchs. This is Christopher Hare's biography of this notable monarch and the history of Spain. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally sound with a little bumping to the spine and front board. Stain to the upper extremity of the front board. Spine is somewhat faded. Well-used with stamps of stores and hand-writing on cover and several places. Wrappers with age and wear but intact. Walter Ben Hare 1880-1950 wrote over 200 plays performed mostly by amateur groups. He was also a meteorologist from 1905 until his death. Probably the best known of his plays was “Aaron Slick Fom Punkin Crick†a rural melodrama which received over 20000 performances and sold over one million copies. T.S.
