1991998Y41Salisbury : Perdix Press 1991. First edition. Cloth. Fine/Fine. 8.5" by 5.5". None. A wonderful signed presentation copy of this enlightening account of printing and publishing with an endearing letter from the author. The author's presentation copy of this book. With a signed and dated inscription above the frontispiece and a loosely inserted letter from the author. The letter and book are both addressed to a figure named Gordon who is clearly a close acquaintance judging off of the author's letter which jokingly makes light of an "error" in his "blue pencil poem" and finishes by stating "Off to Scotland for a week tomorrow by coach. Easy. No problems".First edition. With the publisher's unclipped dust wrapper. A delightful account of 65 years in printing and publishing as told by master printer and "journeyman" Walter Partridge. The memoirs include fascinating portraits of his equally artistic friends and a vivid sketch of his craft beginning with boyhood as a printer's devil in Yorkshire. The final publication of the author's private press Perdix Press. Also loosely inserted is a review on the book published in Printing World December 1991. In the original cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally fine. Dust wrapper is lovely with only a hint of bumping to the head of the spine. Internally firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Author's inscription above frontispiece. Fine Perdix Press hardcover
