One original silver gelatin photo sized 14 x 11 in. on thick matte finish photo paper stock ink manuscript notation on verso from the collection of Stanley Dean 1899-1971 longtime logger and choker for Ostrander Railway & Timber Co. and later worker for Reynolds Metals in Longview WA ownership markings of son Donald Dean b. 1932. An impactful original large photograph capturing the Castle Rock WA football team which included young Stanley Dean attending high school and playing football for the 1919/1920 school year following his World War I service. From Jan. 1918 to July 1919 he had served with the Truck Company No. 10 23rd Engineers based out of the Fort Vancouver Barracks having enlisted before completing high school and shipped out for service in France on the Western Front in March 1918.
