Baseball is divided into two sections: for the spectator covering what to look for at a game and for the player covering what to wear how to play the various positions and useful strategies to employ. Much of Camp's advice has a vintage charm "The first baseman and catcher should each wear gloves to protect the hands" much of it still highly applicable today and all of it is interesting.

Camp 1859-1925 was a prominent athlete at Yale and later its athletic director; he was known as the Father of American Football for his leading part in the game and in evolving the rules which govern it.
