196514844Richmond: Rockwell for Governor Campaign 1965. In March 1965 American Nazi Party founder George Lincoln Rockwell announced that he would run for Governor of Virginia in November of that year. If elected governor Rockwell promised to throw Martin Luther King Jr. in jail institute a "fire-your-nigger" plan fight for "nonextradition of white criminals who flee from 'nigger loving' states; establish a race research laboratory through which anthropologists could publish honest statistics on Negro inferiority; and file tax suits against the federal government for using Virginia tax money to support 'lazy criminal niggers and foreign niggers in Africa'" Schmaltz p. 280. The party which was based in Arlington rented a small storefront in Richmond at 22 N. Seventh St. as campaign headquarters for the White Majority Party. Despite many party rallies and the distribution of thousands of pieces of campaign literature for which the party could hardly afford Rockwell only garnered 1% of the overall vote.

This heavily illustrated publication was one of a number of campaign items published by Rockwell and unfolds to a poster that features an illustration of white Democrats and Republicans coming together as the United White Vote for Rockwell. Underneath the image is an article on how Rockwell plans to "smash Federal and Negro tyranny in Virginia!" The other side includes four panels showing through cartoons and other illustrations how current governor J. Lindsey Almond has failed to stop integration how race-mixing has developed in Virginia and Rockwell's program.

The poster side is printed in black and orange and measures 22" x 17"; the other side is printed in black only. Small smudge to back panel else a fine copy of an extremely scarce ANP/Rockwell item. Only two copies in WorldCat at Michigan State and Brown; noticeably absent from Virginia institutions. 196414025Arlington: American Nazi Party 1964. Although Barry Goldwater was seen as the Republican candidate further to the right during the 1964 Presidential election for George Lincoln Rockwell and the American Nazi Party Goldwater was just a pro-Communist pro-Civil Rights Jew. In this anti-Goldwater pamphlet Rockwell selects 23 "damning facts from Goldwater's authorized biography" or letters and press accounts to portray him as not right wing at all. Instead Rockwell recommends supporting the "fightingest hell-for-leather rootin'-tootin' -shootin' anti-Communist anti-race-mixing outfit in the world today the AMERICAN NAZI PARTY!"

A single sheet folded 4 pp. A fine copy. American Nazi Party unknown
196614292Arlington Virginia: American Nazi Party 1966. In an atmosphere of increasing racial tension and black revolutionary fervor American Nazi Party leader George Lincoln Rockwell issued this alarmist publication describing the rise of ‘Black Power’ among groups such as SNCC and CORE who he maintained were planning on sending “carloads of heavily armed blacks roaring into White areas to burn loot beat rape and “KILL WHITEY.†He asks

“White Man what will happen when the black revolution breaks out not in one spot but in a hundred places at the same time so that troops cannot even begin to be sent to all those places at onceâ€

He then cites the inability of the police politicians and patriotic groups such as the American Legion and John Birch Society to defend whites and volunteers to recruit train and lead white men in defending their neighborhoods. As was generally the case when the ANP issued its provocative lurid propaganda few answered the call.

Tabloid format printed in black and brown on newsprint 4 p. Photograph of a black “savage†and a black panther illustration. A fine copy. Scarce. One copy in WorldCat at Michigan State University. American Nazi Party unknown
