Le incredibili prestazioni su acque calme o turbinose della mitica canoa (tipo "Klepper") a intelaiatura di legno e scafo in stoffa, con timone metallico a oomando di pedaliera, rapidamente smontabile e rimontabile. Un kayak del genere, munito di vela e derive laterali, traversò l'Atlantico almeno due volte negli anni '30.
