"Recueil de Stances" does not appear in NUC either though it does locate books by Daniel Rogers 1573-1652 under the pseudonym D.R.B. on similar subjects in English; this may be a later translation into French. These prayer books in portable format were heavily used by the devout making it difficult to find great copies. This copy is complete and in the original binding and sturdy and clean.Al-Hizb al-Azam also known as "Al-Hizbul Azam" is a renowned collection of supplications and prayers compiled by a classical Islamic scholar named Imam Ali al-Qari. The term "Al-Hizb al-Azam" translates to "The Supreme Hizb" or "The Greatest Supplication." It is called so because it's composed of various supplications from the Quran and the Hadith sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad organized in a systematic manner for different occasions and needs. Lithographed editions of Al-Hizb al-Azam have been produced in various regions with significant Muslim populations including the Middle East South Asia and Southeast Asia. These editions were often printed in Arabic script and distributed among Muslim communities for their spiritual benefit. While lithography has largely been replaced by more modern printing methods today these earlier lithographed editions of Al-Hizb al-Azam remain significant artifacts of Islamic printing history.
