2001BN14700Springer 2001. Auflage: 2. Softcover. 19327071New York: Harrison Smith 1932. First Edition First Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 5 X 7 1/2 Inches. 311 PP. First printing copy in the original "Art Deco" style first issue jacket. The first book published by Harrison Smith Publishing! Original price of $2.50 intact on front flap. A novel of the Southern Lady of the 1920's from this graduate of The University of South Sewanee. Greene would go on to write "Lady and the Tramp" which would obviously be the book he was remembered for for good or for bad. Interestingly enough this book was found by me personally last year on a walk through the Pike's Place Market in Seattle. I was simply enjoying the vibe of the waterfront City but could not resist a little bookstall. There she sat on the shelf without any mylar protection hopes. In my carry on bag she went. 199228678New York:: Random House 1992. First Printing of the First US Edition. A Fine tight copy in a Fine bright clipped dust jacket. On Nov. 14 1965 the 1st Battalion of the 7th Cavalry commanded by Lt. Col. Moore and accompanied by UPI reporter Galloway helicoptered into Vietnam's remote Ia Drang Valley and found itself surrounded by a numerically superior force of North Vietnamese regulars. Moore and Galloway here offer a detailed account based on interviews with participants and on their own recollections of what happened during the four-day battle. Much more than a conventional battle study the book is a frank record of the emotional reactions of the GIs to the terror and horror of this violent and bloody encounter. Both sides claimed victory the U.S. calling it a validation of the newly developed doctrine of airmobile warfare. Supplemented with maps the memoir is a vivid re-creation of the first major ground battle of the Vietnam War. Photos. Random House, unknown

Perhaps the most staunchly proletarian and anti-capitalist of Rice's many plays. Though it was produced at the height of Rice's career We The People received lukewarm reviews its agit-prop style holding little appeal for mainstream playgoers and the price of admission being too dear for the unemployed workers who would have been its natural audience. The play opened at the Empire Theatre on Broadway in January 1933 and closed after only 49<br /> performances. Coward-McCann, Inc unknown
