Hardcover quarter-leather binding black leather spine and corners marbled boards nicely-preserved copy of this original pre-Civil War publication binding is tight and square and the contents are clean and free of foxing there are two gentle vertical creases on most of the pages but they have done no damage this is a minor flaw the leather is worn at the corner-tips and there are some small worn areas on the spine 590 pages many topics some illustrations also .
