"What is meant by 'art' in the 20th century Matisse or Godard Braque or Brassai Duchamp or Laurens

Should we include the 'naive' the 'madmen' the 'negro' statues and the 'dolls hopi The history of art when it writes the word in the singular takes it for the abbreviation of 'fine arts' in the sense that the academic tradition assigns to the formula. However it must be written in the plural because it is prudent not to pretend not to know what is 'of' art in the 20th century what is not or at least not yet." - translated from abstract.
