Poète, traducteur, polémiste et théoricien de la littérature, il fut considéré de son temps et pendant les deux siècles suivants comme le législateur ou le "Régent du Parnasse" pour son "intransigeance passionnée". Bon exemplaire dans une jolie reliure maroquin.
