Chaucer paints an accurate portrayal of English society during the time as well as customs and social practices.

This late 19th-century printing of the poems of Chaucer includes of course 'Canterbury Tales' but also features works such as 'Cuckow and Nightgale' 'Assembly of Foules' and other lesser-known poems.
