In the original publisher's binding and dust wrapper.The Story of General Dann is the sequel to Lessing's earlier work Mara and Dann 1999 a novel about a brother and sister surviving in a new future climate. This sequel shows the characters all grown up one with a dog and the other a child and their fight for survival continues.Doris Lessing was ranked fifth by The Times in 2008 on the list of the 50 greatest British writers since 1945. She was also awarded the David Cohen Prize for achievement in British literature and the 2007 Novel Prize in Literature. This is a scarce signed edition of one of her later written dystopian fiction novels. Includes the original unclipped dust wrapper. In original publisher's cloth binding with unclipped dust wrapper.
