The text briefly describes the mythical figures depicted in a variety of postures. Gay-Lemmonyer attributes its authorship to Croze-Magnan. An attractive copy of a scarce book. The first edition was published in Bruxelles in 1870 with an Amsterdam imrint and the present edition has been dated around 1885 by Perceau but apparently without any evidence.
