First Edition no. xi of 50 copies bound in leather by Hans Strohhacker at North-West Bindery Limited Surrey B.C. and with tipped-in signed and numbered wood-engraved frontispiece by Rosemary Kilbourn. The total edition consisted of 430 copies signed by the printers of which only 300 copies were offered for sale. The wood engravings were chosen by the artists and printed directly from the blocks on Zerkall mould-made white wove the text handset in Eric Gill's Joanna and Joanna Italic with Bembo for display and printed on ivory laid paper. The new press device is by Barry Moser. Only living engravers are represented including Bruno Bobak Gerard Brender à Brandis Frederick Hagan Nancy Ruth Jackson Rosemary Kilbourn Carl Schaefer Richard Yates and 42 others from Canada and 72 from the United States including Elfriede Abbe Leonard Baskin Sarah Chamberlain John DePol Barry Moser and Paul B. Ritscher.
