The first printing of the Aperture Foundation publication oblong folio 164 pp. "In 1997 my family and I moved to a home in the Berkeley hills with an extraordinary view of the Golden Gate Bridge. These pictures were taken from our porch. RM" opening lines of book at the half-title page. Richard Misrach b. 1949 is "one of the most influential photographers of his generation. In the 1970s he helped pioneer the renaissance of color photography and large-scale presentation that are in widespread practice today" with one of his best-known works being this " the study of weather time color and light in his serial photographs of the Golden Gate Bridge." n.b. from the web site of the Fraenkel Gallery. This the second edition the first having been published by Arena Editions in 2001 the first printing with full number line beginning with "10" and ending with "1". ___DESCRIPTION: Bound in full silver-grey cloth blind-debossed lettering on the spine grey endpapers replete with full-colour photographs with many although not all printed on the recto only; oblong folio size 13.25" wide by 11.25" tall 164 pages. In a dust jacket with different images by Misrach on the front and back panels silver lettering on a black background on the spine jacket unclipped although no printed price present summary of book on the front flap bios of Misrach Clark and Walker on the back flap. ___CONDITION: Fine overall with clean boards straight corners without rubbing a strong square text block with solid hinges the interior is clean and bright and entirely free of prior owner markings; a very shallow crease to the rear free endpaper and a hint of dustiness to the bottom edge of the text block else fine.
