19174024Daily Mail & Pictorial Newspaper Co. Ltd 1917. Postcards. Good. Three battlefront postcards all measuring c. 3-1/2 inches tall x 5-1/2 inches wide. Two are RPPCs published by The Daily Mirror - Canadian Official Series both of these cards are real sepia toned photographs and not cards from the Mirror's photogravure or half tone reprint series and one is a four color halftone published by the Daily Mail all are great action shots. Of particular interest are the tank with "C.5" painted on the left side and "Canada's Bag" with captured German troops marching through town - this photo allows fairly intimate detail of the uniforms and individual faces to be seen. All cards are postally unused with wear and soil. "Canada's Bag" as shown here is here a large troop of captured German soldiers filing past Canadian troops with "Canadian Official" printed at bottom right.
