Mahoney 1816- 1876 was a talented British magazine and book illustrator who also illustrated Dickens's Oliver Twist and Our Mutual Friend. A master of the sombre in delicate pen and ink work he provided 58 illustrations to this edition of Little Dorrit. "Mahoney is one of the minor masters of Victorian illustration."
