1965415839New York: Greenwich Mews Theatre 1965. Unbound. Fine. One mimeographed leaf folded to make four pages. Playbill for performances of Bentley's translation of Brecht's play with Hughes' "Gospel songplay The double bill was at its heart a marriage of financial convenience but Hughes admired Brecht and was happy with the pairing. The 21 May 1965 New York Times review commented to its readers "We know now that there are many other aspects to the Negro . but if we remember that this is only one side of his nature and potentialities we can share in his gift for rapturously innocent song and dance." The double-bill enjoyed success with over 100 performances. Greenwich Mews Theatre unknown
