This adaptation for the stage was presumably written later in the 1970s when Ember's career started to take off after writing the Broadway adaptation of It's a Wonderful Life in 1976 and directing a revival of Death of a Salesman in 1977.

While we haven't found contemporary press Ember shared with us that the production -- featuring a white box set heavy use of projectors costumes all in white for easy projection etc. -- was staged in Manhattan.
No copies in the trade or OCLC as of September 2025.
