(Das Tschechow-Kunsttheater Moskau, auch als MChATbekannt, ist ein 1898 von Konstantin Stanislawski und Wladimir Nemirowitsch-Dantschenko gegründetes Naturalismus-Theaterensemble in Moskau. Im deutschen Sprachraum wurde das Theater auch als Moskauer Kunsttheater oder Moskauer Künstlertheater bekannt. Neben den Stücken Henrik Ibsens und Gerhart Hauptmanns stützte sich der Spielplan insbesondere auf die Stücke Anton Tschechows: "Onkel Wanja" wurde 1899 uraufgeführt, "Drei Schwestern" 1901 und "Der Kirschgarten" 1904; 1902 konnte Maxim Gorki als Mitarbeiter gewonnen werden.
