The illustrations have no artist signature besides that of the publisher. One of the sons of the business John Ward was a watercolour painter.Undated dated from Jisc from a copy held at the University of Cambridge Libraries. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally a little edge worn with a few small closed tears and chips. Light handling marks and spots to the wraps. Prior owner's ink inscription to the head of the front wrap.
