A bookseller's Strand News Agency neat stamp to the bottom left hand corner of the front free end-paper otherwise a lovelty bright and clean VG copy in like D/W priced 6/- net to the inside flap as called for. The D/W has shallow 4 mm loss at the head of the spine just marginally affecting the lettering and 2 tears approx 2.5 - 3cm each in length at the top of spine and is is rubbed to the extremities. A VG copy with no inscriptions with a little spotting to the text block and a little scattered spotting to the front board. Small patch of fading to the foot of the spine where the D/W had previously been folded and which has now been re-folded back in place. SIGNED by way of an official bookplate to the front end-paper. In a very good wrapper priced 6/- net to the inside flap as called for with one minute chip to the head of the spine not affecting any lettering. Unclipped. Exceptionally clean rear panel front panel with some fading although how this happened is difficult to fathom. Some rubbing to the edges and corners. Neat internal repair to the foot of the spine.
