Le favole furono stampate in 2000 esemplari oltre ai 50 delle due serie di testa e fuori commercio; l'esemplare proposto appartiene alla tiratura ordinaria numerata a macchina e impressa su velina avorio delle Papeteries de Lana. L'opera curata da Robert Brun riunisce otto racconti ciascuno accompagnato da una tavola xilografica di Jean Lébédeff 1884-1972 che firma anche l'antiporta e il fregio che incornicia il titolo sul piatto anteriore: La belle au bois dormant Le petit chaperon rouge La barbe-bleuë Le chat botté Les fées Cendrillon Riquet a la houppe Le petit poucet.
