1889ML1206
Singapore: Fraser and Neave 1889. Sixth edition. Board_book. Good. This was one of the first books published for the ordinary Brit who was not a scholar to enable her/him to deal with "servants and other persons" in Malay. Its unique feature was to attempt to transliterate Malay into some sort of a phonetic system that could be more easily grasped by the native English speaker. The phrase book has four columns for the English phrase the translation into the Rumi script the phonetic version and a blank column for notes. Good Paperback. Sixth Edition 317 pages with another 26 page index to words used in the text. Weight 0.4kg. Post free within Malaysia The green cloth cover does not have much wear. At a couple of places in the book the hinge has cracked but no pages are loose. The binding is good the text is clear and there is very mild tanning throughout.
Fraser and Neave

Per Wikipedia Ludwig Johann Friedrich Froriep 1779 - 1847 Was A German University Professor Of Obstetrics Comparative Anatomy And Surgery As Well As A Publisher In The Late Weimar Classicism .On 1 May 1815 He Was Appointed Personal Physician To King Frederick I In Stuttgart And On 16 April 1815 He Became A Member Of The Medical Section Of The Royal Ministry. In March 1816 Froriep Moved To Weimar To Support His Father-In-Law At That Time Head Of The State Industrial Office And Joined The Management Of The Grand Duchy's Health Service As Saxe-Weimar Chief Medical Officer. The Genealogist Ralf G. Jahn Who Researched Schiller's Ancestors And Relatives Hypothesized After Extensive Research Into Sources That It Is Unlikely That Anyone Other Than Ludwig Friedrich Von Froriep Could Have Deliberately Swapped The Skull That Was Placed In Schiller's Tomb. He Had The Expertise And The Opportunity And As A Fanatical Follower Of The Phrenologist Franz Joseph Gall He Also Had The Motive To Do So. Froriep Was The Head Of The Medical Commission That Presented The Fürstengruft Skull As Schiller's Skull And It Was Thanks To His Decisive Influence That The World Believed It Was Seeing Schiller's Skull In The Fürstengruft Skull. He Owned One Of The Most Extensive Collections Of Skulls And Bones Of His Time Containing At Least 1500 Individual Pieces In The Immediate Vicinity Of Schiller's Burial Site. In Modern Analysis Skull-Swapping Is One Of Th Most Unusual Crimes And Froriep Was Demonstrating Considerable Originality And Initiative In The Interest Of Popularization Of False Data.

Landes-Industrie-Comptoirs hardcover
