He Worked Since 1954 At The Institute For Theoretical And Experimental Physics In Moscow Whose Theoretical Physics Laboratory He Headed For 30 Years; Was Professor At The Moscow Institute For Physics And Technology; And Published Some 300 Papers And Several Books On The Theory Of Elementary Particles. In The Field Of Strong Interactions The Famous Okun-Pomeranchuk Theorem On The Equality Of Cross Sections For Scattering Of The Particles From The Same Isomultiplet At Asymptotically High Energies Was Proved In 1956. In The 70S He And Co-Authors Developed A New Method Of Quantum Chromodynamics Sum Rules That Became Known In The Literature As The "Itep Sum Rules". One Of Okun's Favorite Subjects Was.
