While the titles of both stories imply a focus on parenting and both pieces emphasize the dangers of bad mothering the major lessons here are that sons should avoid gambling partying and expensive mistresses while taking care to fall in love with women who are virtuous and wealthy.<br>Â Â Â Â A woodcut headpiece opens each story in this printing which is now uncommon: WorldCat finds => only one U.S. institution reporting a copy Princeton and just a handful of other locations all in France.<br>Â Â Â Â Provenance: From the children's book collection of Albert A.
