Lo stmaptore è segnato infine ad ogni opera. 28x19 cm. L'opera è rilegata in bella mezza pelle coeva con dorso a 4 nervi e titoli e fregi in oro ai tasselli nei quali sono riportati i titoli " V. Hugo Romans" e "Erckmann-Chatrian Romans Nationaux" (difetti). Piatti foderati con carta marmorizzata coeva (strofinature). Numerossisme bellissime incisioni nel testo realizzate da lacuni dei più grandi illustratori francesi del XIX° secolo. 748 pp. Alcune macchioline di foxing in poche pagine, altri minimi ed ininfluenti segni del tempo e per il resto in buono stato di conservazione. Laid inside front cover is a letter from author to a friend apparently affiliated with the Salt River Valley Water Users' Association. This interesting letter is also signed "Kenny." According to the letter, it would appear that a total of three unnamed authors are responsible for this work. Prima edizione italiana non comune (due soli esemplari censiti in ICCU) di queso rmanzo d’appendice uscito a fascicoli. L’opera è un romanzo storico abientato durante gli anni della Rivoluzione Francese. Ottimo stato di conservazione, carta uniformemente brunita. Opera arricchita da numerose belle incisioni a piena pagina. RARO.
