A nice-looking copy of a scarce item a fine contribution to the series Pierre Louys et L'histoire Litteraire being a collection of letters between Pierre Louys 1870-1925 to Louis Lachevre 1855-1947. Original printed paper wrappers in gate-fold showing a little wear and discoloration else clean and unmarked. Some toning to first free endpaper and recto perhaps where a loose review item might have lain. Louÿs was an extremely well known and loved French poet and writer who was initially made first a Chevalier and then an Officer of the Légion d'honneur for his contributions to French literature. Frederic Lachevre was a Parisian bibliophile extraordinaire publisher literary critic poet and novelist. Like Louys Lachevre was interested also in erotica sexuality sensuality and including lesbian existence.Member I.O.B.A. C.B.A. and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
