194711<p>In 1580 Michel de Montaigne wrote of what is considered to be the first collection of personal essays "Reader thou hast here an honest book." This 1947 edition is particularly interesting for the modern reader as it has been strikingly illustrated by the renowned surrealist artist Salvador Dali. A great addition to any library.</p><p>It is in very good condition with pages and binding all in excellent shape particularly for a book of this age. The color illustrations are still vibrant.
