A obra saiu apenas em 1895 editada por sua irm que expurgou algumas passagens. Em quase todos os seus livros Nietzsche discute a religio e a moral crists mas em O Anticristo que essa discusso alcana a forma mais desinibida e polmica. Ele faz uma reinterpretao do cristianismo inicial distinguindo entre o que teria sido Jesus de Nazar e a interpretao que o ap�stolo Paulo fez algum tempo depois da figura e dos ensinamentos de Jesus. Para Nietzsche foi so Paulo quem transformou Jesus em Cristo foi ele o verdadeiro inventor do cristianismo. O livro oferece entre outras coisas uma cr�tica do conceito cristo de Deus uma anlise do tipo psicol�gico do Salvador uma psicologia da f e dos crentes uma comparao entre o budismo e o cristianismo envolvendo uma concepo bastante heterodoxa sobre a natureza do cristianismo. No final este condenado como uma religio niilista e negadora da sexualidade ou seja contrria aos valores vitais. Os Ditirambos de Dion�sio so nove poemas ""inspirados"" pelo deus Dion�sio que para Nietzsche simbolizava o oposto dos valores cristos. The Critique of Christian Morality deals with a very controversial and still current part of the philosophy of this well-known German author. The principal aim of the work is to bring closer the interpretation questions of ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche in the context of his critical view of Christian morality and human morality itself. His work not only gives the reasons why Friedrich Nietzsche is referred to as a nihilist but also the arguments contrary to this thesis. Moreover it tries to find a reason why the author went in such radical views and where he gained the inspiration. No less important question that is tackled is how big enemy Nietzsche found in Christian morality and if he considered the possibility of surpassing his theory.
