19675275Random House 1967. Limited Numbered First Edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Near Fine Slipcase. A beautiful Limited Numbered First Edition signed by the author. In dark brown cloth the book has a nice brown topstain and is clean and unread with light fading to the spine. The slipcase is very solid but faded at the edges; it has protected this beautiful volume well. A lovely copy by the popular author of "The Lockwood Concern" and many other novels and plays. A key figure in the arts and literature scene during his lifetime Frank O’Hara’s passing was deeply felt by his artistic circle a grief captured in Peter Schjeldahl’s moving obituary published in The Village Voice in 1966: "In 15 years as a poet playwright critic curator and universal energy source in the lives of the few hundred most creative people in America Frank O'Hara had rendered that world wholly unprepared to tolerate his passing." A fascinating figure. Random House unknown
