Also tipped in is a half -page letter of approximately fifteen lines and sixty words in blue ink in the author's hand and signed and dated December 20th 1860 by the author. Also included is another half page holograph translation in another hand. This volume is from a twenty volume set entitled The Masterpieces of George Sand printed on Japanese vellum with prints in two states with the frontispiece in color.
