A complete ten volume set of this limited edition collection of the correspondence of the French writer known as Stendhal in the original French. French. Complete in ten volumes. Limited to one-thousand eight-hundred and twenty-five copies of which this is number five hundred and twenty-five. The correspondence of Marie-Henri Beyle better known by his pen name Stendhal a French writer. Best known for the novels Le Rouge et le Noir 1830 and La Chartreuse de Parme 1839 he is highly regarded for the acute analysis of his characters' psychology and considered one of the foremost practitioners of realism. Stendhal used many aliases in his autobiographical writings and correspondence and often assigned pseudonyms to friends.
