A purple tag embossed in gilt is attached with black cotton to the top copper spiral ring. The corners are lightly creased. 34 leaves each printed on one side only including a list of artists printed as a title page on creamy fine speckled paper and 33 full-page color illustrations and designs by graphic artists and illustrators printed on glossy stock. An additional 5 full-page color plates are housed in a pocket at the rear with Jeffrey Leff's business card housed in a smaller pocket. There is a minor crease to the top corners of the 5 plates housed in the pocket. 1962605910Sydney: Robert Burton 1962. Unbound. Near Fine. Original Australian daybill movie poster for Stanely Kubrick's film adaptation of Lolita. Measuring approximately 13 ½" x 30". Creased twice from being folded for mailing as issued and some bumping to the corners with some very light toning to the margins still near fine with the illustration clean and bright. Features an illustration of Sue Lyon as Dolores "Lolita" Haze peering over her now iconic heart-shaped sunglasses. The poster states "The book is banned! How did they ever make a movie of Lolita" and at the bottom "Not suitable for children." A disclaimer that unintentionally though rather ironically highlights the misguided production of the film which Nabokov himself was ultimately unhappy with and which had traumatizing real-life consequences for the underage star of the film Sue Lyon who in an awful instance of life imitating art became entangled in a "relationship" with the film's producer a then 32 year-old James Harris. The bright and bold almost pop-art style of the illustration combined with its ironic subtext and unique format makes this an exceptionally novel piece. Robert Burton unknown

Very good. <p>Limited edition of 1000 copies.<p>Abramson photographs "Disappearing Arts" part of a series of performances by the multimedia company CoAccident led by Kirby Malone and Marshall Reese. She writes in an introductory note: "I mainly wanted to catch the flow of their energy not for the sake of analytical study but as a direct reading of the performance at hand. Putting aside the conventions of 35mm and documentary photography I became part of the event itself. I used continuous time exposures while hand-cranking the film through the camera." 1950127029Colortone 1950s. Very Good. Three original salesman sample calendar toppers and one pocket-sized single card calendar for 1956-57 all featuring model & sometimes nudist Sue Snow. The salesman samples full-color white borders blank versos: 8 x 10.75 inches 2 are 12 x 16 inches the pocket calendar is 2.25 x 3.75 inches color recto image is same as the larger topper w/ yearly mini calendars 1956-57 printed on the verso. Snow appeared in several 1950s nudist publications was photographed by Andre de Dienes appeared in nude "loop" adult films. Generally unsung but heralded in certain circles a brief career that faded into obscurity sometime in the 1960s. Samples like this were advertisement fodder for salesmen and mobster cronies varying in size but most often used as toppers decorative backings for calendars the target audience being men or any auto mechanic or exactly the kind of person dealing with those cronies.
