This is the fourth reprint issued two years after initial publication. With 54 pages of publisher's adverts to the rear of Life's Handicap. Life's Handicap is a collection of short stories about the British in India. Many Inventions is another anthology of short stories 12 of which had previously appeared in various publications such as The Atlantic Monthly and The Strand Magazine. In original cloth bindings with gilt stamped detailing to the head of boards and to spine. Externally generally smart with bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spines. Patches of rubbing to the joints and extremities. Front hinge to Life's Handicap is strained but firm. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown of both volumes Angus &Robertson.
