A short but interesting letter telling McClure that "Miss Reade came last week for lunch . . . she is a charming woman and we much enjoyed the glimpse of her." Kipling goes on: "Now it is up to you and your wife to come along. There are heaps of things in the land worth the looking at . . . We hope to get over to Canada this fall & through to Vancouver . . . I think there is a chance of setting eyes on you by the way. Ever yours sincerely & affectionately Rudyard Kipling." At the bottom of the letter there is a note from McClure presenting the letter to a woman on 1/26/26.
