In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrappers. Externally very smart. There is some wear to the extremities of the dust wrappers resulting in some loss and some small tears particularly to the heads and tails of the spines. Prior owner's colour markings to the rear board of the dust wrapper of 'The Day's Work'. To the binding there is some minor bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. The contents with a neat previous owner's inscription to the front free endpaper foxing to the endpapers and half title and a little light spotting to the text block top edge are otherwise clean throughout. An excellent very good or better copy the cloth very lightly spotted the contents without inscriptions or stamps but with foxing to the margins. Complete with the original rubbed nicked and darkened dustwrapper. Although unstated as such this is the second separate edition. Printed on wove paper it bulks much thicker than the first printing and has the corrected "Bemrose and Sons Ltd" imprint to page 80. The dustwrapper design also differs to that of the first printing.
