Il racconto di Kafka nella traduzione di Giorgio Zampa è qui illustrato da 10 tavole di cui 4 doppie con riproduzioni di acquerelli di Folon che firma anche le immagini sulle sguardie e in copertina. Giorgio Soavi collaboratore di Adriano Olivetti dapprima in Comunità poi per le iniziative editoriali ed artistiche dell'azienda eporediese fu fautore della prolifica collaborazione con Jean-Michel Folon Uccle 1934 - Monaco 2005 che illustrò diverse strenne pubblicazioni e manifesti a partire dall'Agenda 1969.
