She is especially known for her illustrations for "The Ark of Noah" and "A Child's Garden of Verses". <br/><br/>In this story a human boy joins the ranks of the four animal kings of the forest by teaching them special skills. A charming story by Wilson who founded The Press in Tuscany Alley with her husband Adrian Wilson where they designed and published many fine limited editions. <br/><br/>___DESCRIPTION: Original pictorial green paper wrappers Japanese stab-stitched with green silk thread endpapers illustrated in orange and green with five-colour linoleum cuts throughout signatures French-fold; Centaur type Ingres paper quarto size just over 9.75" by 8 5/8" 24 unnumbered pp. signed by Joyce Lancaster Wilson.
