In this continuation we navigate murder deceit political intrigue and personal tragedy to arrive at first contact. Can the promise of wondrous advances for humans be reconciled with crimes against humanity Difficult choices are made while one is forced to answer the question: What would you do As the choices are made and second-guessed Beware of Redemption introduces a much higher level to this three-dimensional chess match. Intricate plans rarely survive contact with reality and in this case the players dont even understand the game. As I was reading Beware of Redemption I soon realized this is an example of Science Fiction done right. There is just the right amount of alien tech just the right touch of suspense and just the right number of errors in judgment on both sides of the universe. The Beware series this is book 2 is the new standard by which I will apply all of my future readings. Patrick Jaynes and Darlien C. Breeze have quickly become my favorite Science Fiction authors. Keep your eye on them. They promise more surprises in store in their next book. Mae Argilan Editor Author Girl Meets Bayou Double Dragon Books Sci-fi fans who appreciate elements of romance political action and investigative intrigue woven into their storylines will appreciate the many paths Beware of Redemption takes in the course of presenting a thought-provoking story of a president's connections with alien special interests. - D. From the rear cover: "A mix of mystery science fiction international intrigue with a touch of romance Beware of Memories leaves the reader wanting for nothing except the next book in the series." From a GoodReads review by Carol Mitchell: "OMG! Lets begin by saying how good this book is. Darlien C. Breeze and Patrick K. Jaynes PHD Kept me awake for two nights because they were not playing when they wrote this book. Beware of Memories is especially good if youre seeking a read out of the rigagamor of romance and vampire stories. Its what one would call a soft brand of Science Fiction and a darn good read that keeps you transfixed throughout the entire read! The thing I loved most about this book is how it pulls the reader in and holds their attention with everything under the sun including a rare opportunity to imagine! My kids called me for dinner as Science fiction captured my imagination. That night my food got cold because I simply could not let this book go. To me Patrick and Darlien both gave us the right mix of excitement intrigue and readers will be able to enjoy futurism that truly does not let you down. In fact it is entertaining; its inspiring if you can imagine that! The story begins with Dr. Peter Kirby who incorporates Simone who happens to be an alien. Simone is to help the people of Earth relive past events. Kirby has honed the technology required to achieve a brilliant goal; just remember to pick your tongue up and keep going. Keep in mind you have to read each word to see how this brand of technology in the wrong hands could have altering effects. The humans who resist these attempts are summarily eliminated and this process draws the attention of our protagonists Gardner Poole from Scotland Yard. Theres also Emma Bossart from Interpol. Book one follows the machinations of these detectives as they work to uncover the truth behind the deaths. What got me most in this great read was how the detectives became targets themselves; as they discover that there is something not quite right in their own workplaces. Beware of Memories gives us a great respite in reading to try something fresh and new. The aliens hovering upon earth. And man you dont want any of this to end. Its exciting; its revealing to see that the aliens are actually quite friendly. I was thrilled when they made it to the White House and was welcomed. This is one of those reads you want to give 10 stars but are limited to give only 5. Beware of Memories offers loads of superlatives in adjective form lets say there is adventure thrills suspense love and some darn good writing!" GoodReads rating 4.63 stars. Signed by Patrick K.
