Interesting monogram printed in purple on first blank. Cloth a little rubbed at head and tail of spine and at corners. Wrappers slightly chipped and nicked at outer edges. Very good. Contains a review by Oscar Wilde on Whistler's famous "Ten O'Clock-Lecture" given on February 10 1885 in London. Among other critical remarks Whistler denounced art critics in his lecture and caused such a stir that he was asked to give his lecture in Oxford and Cambridge which resulted in a verbal exchange between Whistler and Wilde around aesthetical issues.
