Book is clean and binding is tight. On the spine of the book the writing is in blue and is clear and sharp. On the front cover the impressed signatures of the authors in gilt are sharp. A shadow of the cover of the dust jacket is on the front cover of the book. There is some wear at the tail of the spine. The dust jacket is protected in an archival quality cover. This dual autobiography twice signed by both authors arguably the greatest historians of the 20th century is a treasure to be coveted by the owner.
