Pamphlet containing a short biography of the life of John Baskerville 1706-1775 by Philip Gaskell and six leaves from Baskerville's Octavo Prayer Book. A portrait of Baskerville was made by Ralph Frizell from the Rothwell engraving of the portrait by Miller in the National Portrait Gallery. John Baskerville was an English businessman best remembered for his career as a printer and type designer. In the original publisher's wraps. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only.
