With closing & signature Shelley Winters 1920-2006 received Academy Award nominations for Best Actress for A Place in the Sun 1951 and for Best Supporting Actress for A Patch of Blue 1965 and The Poseidon Adventure 1972. She won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for The Diary of Anne Frank 1959. Winters' other memorable films include Lolita 1962 Alfie 1966 and Next Stop Greenwich Village 1976.
