The original printed prize has been preserved. It is awarded to J.M. van Bentem at the occasion of his promotion to the 4th grade dated 'Idibus Septembr. 1869' and is signed by the Rector Willem Hendrik Dominicus Suringar and 6 curators of the Gymnasium among whom the famous classical scholar Carel Gabriel Cobet professor of Greek at the University of Leiden.
