Brown at the Black Swan without Temple-Bar 1718. 4to. on laid paper some mild age- and damp-marking to several leaves; strongly bound in twentieth century boards paper label a bright crisp copy. Although attributed here to Beaumont and Fletcher later scholarship increasingly favours authorship by Fletcher and Massinger. The play one of the finest Restoration comedies was first performed in 1622 with the first licensed edition following in 1647.
