There are two copies in the British Museum one in the Harvard College Library and one in the New York Public Library."<br> <br> "This is the first of Boswell's " characteristical pamphlets" to bear his name on the title-page and it makes a new and important stage in Boswell's career his real reason for penning the pamphlet undoubtedly being that he saw a general election imminent and proposed to stand as parliamentary candidate for Ayrshire."
