brossura Scritto nel 1816 e pubblicato nel 1818, "Frankenstein ossia il moderno Prometeo", di Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin Shelley, può essere considerato un'opera pionieristica della letteratura fantastica e contemporaneamente di quella di fantascienza. Nell'insieme costituisce un'officina antropologica di straordinario interesse, poiché offre al lettore molteplici spunti per incursioni in vari ambiti della cultura, dimostrando così quanto siano attuali alcuni temi proposti nella tessitura narrativa del libro.
