19697769New York: Lyle Stuart 1969. First Paperback Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 5 5/8 X 8 1/2 Inches. 255 PP. One of the greatest literary hoaxes of the 20th Century!

An extremely clean copy of this title written under the pseudonym of Penelope Ashe. The book was actually written by 24 Newsday writers in an effort to prove that any book could become a bestseller at the time if enough sex was thrown in. Original price of $5.95 intact on front flap. Something of a cult classic with a backstory unlike any I've ever heard. The Newsday writers apparently tossed the book together to prove that recognition of true literature no longer mattered to publishers and readers alike. Penelope Ashe the author shown in the photograph on the rear panel is actually Billie Young a saleswoman and sister-in-law of one of the actual authors Mike McGrady. The DJ photograph of the attractive young female intended to lure in the malleable purchasers was actually used without permission by the Hungarian born porn veteran and ended up on a lawsuit. The book has since sold nearly 500000 copies.Hint of discoloration to foot of spine. DJ exhibits light wear to edges and folds with a few short closed tears. A scarce hardcover first printing.
